Comment on the news from today's presentations. Which one is the most interesting/why?
I think that the most interesting would be the one about the driving tests. That is crazy. I would have given up after a few tries never mind like 900. how old was she btw?
I think the article about American Idol is the most interesting because the show was once one of the most popular shows to watch in America, and now even more hosts leaving represents how the show is losing popularity fast. I know when I watched the show I would only watch it to see the bad auditions or Simon criticizing people, but now that he is leaving I know I probably won't ever watch the show again.
I think the serial killer action figure article was most interesting because i believe the bigger question is that if the age is 18+ , what 18 year old plays with action figures??? However, the lady taking a driving test is pretty crazy too.
I thought that Jonathan Wahl's story was the most interesting because it talks about how a lady had to take a dirver's ed test 900 times in order to get her license. You dont hear that every day and usually people dont have to spend $6,000 on trying to get her license.
I agree with Shounak, I found that article the most interesting. I've never heard of anything like that before.. I can't imagine somebody trying 960 times.
Andrew Veiga I believe Johns article about the girl who failed the drivers test 959 times is the most interesting. Like honestly, how can you fail it that many times..shes not freaking spongebob.
Xinrui had a very interesting article. I used to watch American Idol then i turned 10. It is completely true that alot of poeple have stopped watching the show and all the judges are jumping ship.
I liked John's article because that is the only one I heard. I was busy making my folder and what not. If the lady had enough money to take the drivers test 900 times, she could have just paid someone to drive her around.
I agree with shounak. Its very odd to have someone fail their driving test so many times. I think it said it takes the avg person 3 or 4 tries to get their drivers license.
The drivers test was the most interesting article . Its funny to read about that because I've never heard of someone who failed there drivers test that many times.
I think the most interesting article was the one about american idol. I find it interesting how all of a sudden everyone is leaving the show. Plus the fact that the show has been on for so long that it is definately past its peak. So I think that everyone is leaving because the money is running out.
The most interesting aticle was the driving test one that Jon did. It was interesting because I thought that people would only fail there drivers test a few times and pass. But spending over $5000 on drivers tests that you took 900 some odd times is redonculous.
I think john's article was the most interesting because for someone to fail a drivers test that many times is ridiculous. i think they might have done it on purpose to try and make a record or something. Or she was just incompitent and unable to learn how to drive. After a certain amount of tries she should have gotten serious help or lessons on how to drive. i also think its interesting because im getting my license in SIXTEEN DAYS! except now it made me nervous that im going to fail it...but thats okay. i think it was also newsworthy because people want to know about who els is driving on the roads as well as themselves. bad drivers lead to more accidents.

I think that the most interesting article was the one about the old lady who failed her driving test over and over again until she finally passed. Its shows that the statement: "Never give up", Is actually followed by people, and also ecourages people to also follow that statement.
I think that the article that is most newsworthy is the one about american idol in how the judges are leaving and that is why most people watched it. I agree with Ryan in how it is losing popularity fast and more and more people are not going to watch the show.
I think the most newsworthy was the article that John presented. This is because it is important to have your license as early as possible. I think this because it teaches young people responsibility. Also,parents shouldn't have to drive their kids around everywhere just because the kid was too lazy to put the effort into getting their license. This is why I think this article is newsworthy.
The one with the old lady taking the driving test 960 SOMETHING TIMES!!! and spents something around 5k-6k dollars that something you would see on the TSG: World's Dumbest. But the amazing thing that happened is hyundai, gave her a car & was in a commercial. I like this one the best cause it was unusal and it was unique. The other ones wher boring same old stuff Hurricane, Tsunami, earthquake. I know it's really important but everyone now and then need something unusaly adn happy to show that the news isn't depressing most of the time

I agree with Chris Kimball because like him, I stopped watching the show like five years ago when I was ten. It shows that a lot of America is moving on and American Idol is old news.
I think Xinrui's arcticle about American Idol was the most interesting. This is because it featured one of my favorite shows, American Idol. American Idol is a hugely popular tv show in America, so the article would interest many poeple. The most interesting part of the article was how it talked about one of the judges, Cara, leaving the show. This is of great interest because with a new or different judge, the show would change quite a bit.
In my opinion the most interesting article was the one about the woman who took the drivers test over and over. I think this is a good story because it is something more positive that we heard today.
the article about american idol is very news worthy. Without simon who really makes the show humorous and the decline in talent of the contestants, the show probably won't last to much longer.
I agree with Marissa, I don't find it really realistic for a lady to fail the same test that many times. I think she was either mentally disabled or she purposely tried to fail just to get on the news.
The most interesting article was the one about American Idol. This is because that TV show series has been a part of many familys and lives for years and the fact that the hosts are leaving affects many. Family's and viewers watching American Idol for the soul purpose of the judges and humor. They'd see no more purpose in continuing watching the show if the original people weren't there. Sometimes people are ignorant to change and will be stubborn and not want to continue viewing the show... It's the most newsworthy because more people care about such things.
i really liked the article about the lady who took the drivers test 960 times. you have to give her credit though because that obviously means that she really wanted to be able to drive. you have to give her some credit because 99.99% of people would probably give up within their 10th try or maybe even before. she could have probably passed it sooner if she didnt lack the education that she needed to answer the questions that she had to answer on the test.
