One of the Best
What makes this photo one of the best? What is the story behind this picture? What words describe this picture?
This photo is one of the best because it shows a lot of emotion and invokes a lot of emotion for the viewer. It shows a situation that none of us are really familiar with.
This photo is one of the best because it portrays a very powerful picture. The girl in the photo is very young and the facial expression show a lot of emotion. It tells a story and shows how scary some of the problems going on around the world are.
This picture is one of the best because it is eye opening and surprising. Also, the look on the young boys face makes it one of the best pictures because of all the emotion shown.
This picture would be considered one of the best because it truly captures the emotion of the child, and send it straight to the viewer through solely visualization, which is extremely moving and powerful. Words that would best describe this picture are terrifying, traumatic, tradgic, scared, helpless, ect.
It also makes the viewer feel sympathetic for the child, or sorry and wanting to help it...
I agree with Ryan Connor in that this picture is one of the best because it does have of detail in the emotions of the kid. It also provokes reaction from the viewer. You can see the distress that is coming from the child.
I also like how this picture shows real life fear from the child. It is a powerful picture that gives you a closer look at the bad things going on in our soceity.
Meredith Walsh: This picture is one of the best because it tells a story. Also it shows a lot of emotion and pictures with a lot of emotion are the best.
This photo is one of the best because it shows the raw emotion of the scene. It is not set up and it is not staged. You can tell that the boy is not posing and it looks like a photographer was in the right place at the right time.
It grabs the viewers attention because it leaves so many questions to be asked, and left unanswered. It leaves you hanging and curious as to what exactly is going on in the picture
THis photo is a great one because it really shows the emotions feelings of this kid and what he is going through. It is really believable becasue the child really does look like he is scared.
This picture is one of the best because it has the news elements that you look for in an article. It can evoke emotion in people. It seems like it has a great backstory as well.
this is one of the best. becuase it shows that that girl is really afraid. i also wonder what is going to happen next. im also was wondering the same thing, marissa
I agree with John. Its too bad that a child is being put in this kind of situation, but the real life emotion is what captures the viewer and makes this picture one of the best.
Couldn't agree more with Ryan Connor. This is not something we woulld see everyday and the emotion in the picture shows the person being frightened and frantic as he is obviously trying to get rid of something. I feel terrible too because he is a little boy and bad stuff should not be happening to him. I can tell by the expression on his face that he is worried sick.
This photo is one of the best because it shows what is really going on around the world. Children are being affected by war; it is truly sad because they did not do anything wrong and they are being dragged into the violence.
I think that the story behind this picture is that this little kid has gotten into some deep problems or his family has and they are being attacked. The kid is hiding from the attacker and has got caught.
I agree with Rose, you can clearly tell that this picture is not fake, and that the photographer was just there at the right moment. One of the best things about the picture is how real it is, the poor little boy is not posing and his emotions and fears are all real. The picture really makes you feel for this young boy and his desperate situation.
I think this picture is really awkward because it seems like the camera man just happened to be there. I wonder why the camera man was there in the first place and if this was set up without the child knowing in order to get the photo. I think that is cruel and unfair.
Emotion was truly captured through this picture, it was obviously a lucky candid shot, capturing a million different emotions into one picture. I agree with rose, it couldn't have been staged or acted out. Real emotions are hard to fake, never mind capturing on camera
I do not know the story behind this picture, but i assume that this picture takes place in an african country such a lybia and this is a result of a riot taking place or some other form of chaos taking place in one of these countries.
I agree with xinrui. Seeing this stuff happening to someone my age makes me sick to know that they are put in these situations. It makes me appreciate even more where I live because we are safe and free of violent conflicts.
Also i think that this is a robbery or a break in of the child in this pictures home. If this is the case, and this picture is taken by a professional photographer, why did he not do anything to help the child.
I agree with Xinrui, the poor boy has probably been affected by war or another kind of disaster. The saddest thing about the picture is how terrified the boy is and yet how innocent he most likely is. The child probably didn't do anything wrong to be placed in such a terrible situation.
Thank you for bringing that up John. This was probably set up because it probably wouldn't be used as propaganda (unless hurting children is positive in some countries). So the child was probably scared and then they left without hurting him.
I agree with John. Nobody really knows the full story about this unless there is a description about it. You can just tell that it is probably in an African country and something terrible is happening.
I dont agree with Jessica something salvadore because I think that the photo tells you all the information that you need to know and jess should stop being so nosey.
This picture makes you wonder who the guy whos arm is in the picture, and what is the object he is carrying is . I assume that it is a club or weapon that he is going to use or threaten to use on the little child.
I think this picture takes place in Africa. The boy is scared because his family might be wanted for somthing. Annother possibility is that the police/military is corrupt and they want money.
I think the story behind this picture is that the little boy has done something wrong and is going to be punished for it. It is most likely in a third-world country, based upon the background. Also, the shadow looks like a person holding a stick or baton. In this country, the government is probably less active than in our country. Perhaps there is no government.
This photo is one of the best because it shows a lot of emotion and invokes a lot of emotion for the viewer. It shows a situation that none of us are really familiar with.
