I think that the review for the blackberry is written well because it goes over all of the aspects of the device and gives pros and cons. It gives clear detail of every aspect making it a very good review if somebody is interested in buying it.
I have not really read consumer reviews before purchasing product, regardless, it is a good idea. I know my mom has used them, like before "santa" got me a kinnect for christmas, i know she read a consumer review to make sure it actually works as well as it says it does. Consumer reviews are a good idea because it's real people telling you how the product works and how it could benefits you or does not benefit you. Also, so you dont waste your money on a product that may be non-returnable, and then you have something that does not satisfy your expectations for the product. Consumer reviews are truthful, it's real people sharing their experiences with the product, where as advertisements are obviously only trying to sell the product, so they're gonna tell you anything you want to hear in order for you to buy it and to sell the product to viewers.
I think this is a good review because it gives readers both the good and bad things about the product. The writer of the review gave a lot of detail about the problems and the functions.
I think that this is a step forward in technology as most new things are, but it isn't something that will be life changing. The blackberry peeps are just trying to keep up with the genius makers of the smart phones.
i agree with devin, i dont think that it is neccasary to have that. Although the article is well written and shows all aspects of what the phone has to offer.
I use reviews such as this sometimes because they allow you to know waht you are getting. And while the review usually gives all of the negatives and positives of a product, if the negitives are to bad than i will consider not buying the objects.
I do think this is a good review, they did a good job explaining most of the features and seemed to not leave out anything important. I do use consumer reviews, especially on CNET which is also good for reviews or simply watch a few youtube videos. Consumer reviews are necessary because it give a good perspective from a point of view outside the company, and they point out pros and cons rather than all of the pros.
Consumer reviews are good. becuase people who bought had experience with using the thing you want to buy, and could give you good advice if you should buy it. or not to becuase it might be a waste of your money. I used consumer reviews when ever i was thinking of buying a book, or movie, that i didnt really know to much if it was good or not. ithought this was a good review
I think this is a good interview because it is detailed and specific. I have used consumer reviews before, but in some cases got the product anyway and it wasn't a problem. Consumer reviews are necessary because it isn't a salesperson convincing you to buy the product. Rather, they are giving you real and true advice with their opinion.
I think that this article is well written. Reveiws can really help people who are about to spend alot of money and want to know what the prduct is like before they buy it

consumer reviews such as this one are necessary becuase the allow people who are interested in buying a product such as this to think over their decision and get reviews from real consumers who have actually used the product their opinion on the product before making a large purchase such as this. Reviews like this can make an impact on peoples decisions to make purchases.
The blackberry play book is unnessicary definitely because you could just get the ipad. I love my blackberry and probably couldn't go back to a regular phone now, once you have one it changes your experience on phones forever lol...but sometimes it does have problems, it goes both ways really.
I agree with John. The review is very good because it is good because it gives many good points on the high and low points of the device. This device seems very similar to the ipad and may or may not be better. Personally I think these tablets are a waste of money. Also I never read customer reviews because everyone is biased. I would prefer to ask someone I know personally what they think of it or just try it out for myself.
Meredith Walsh: This is a well written review but not the best. It tells about most of the things shown in the blackberry playbook but not all of it. The blackberry playbook is copying the ipad though.
This was a good review. It shows both the pros and cons of the Blackberry Playbook. I think consumer reviews are very helpful when purchasing a product, because customers who already have the product know what other customers want to know and expect from a product, and can tell them what is good and bad. However, I rarely use consumer reviews before buying anything.
I do agree with Jaclyn and Xinrui, im sure many people do use consumer reviews before purchasing a product, but i'm sure i could speak for many teens and kids when i say when we see something that we think is cool and its the latest in technology, we usually just want it and we dont really even consider going to do research on it or read consumer reviews. We're obviously not that responsible yet

I think this is going to be a good product, even if it is terrible, because it will add more competition for the iPad and Galaxy Tab. Then the products will all improve to try and outmatch one another.
I dont really use reveiws to decide what I get because everyone has a different point of veiw and different tastes but I think that if you are going to drop a bunch of cash, that it may not be such a bad idea to check out what others have been saying about it
This is a good review because it is honest and focuses on both the good and the bad aspects of the product, which is the purspose of writing a review. The writer of the article wasn't trying to sell the product because that wasn't the point. Consumers show all of the pros and cons they see are appropriate, which allows you to see if the product is as good as it seems.

I think the new Blackberry Product is cool but how can something like this be anecessary gadget when other companies like Apple have already come out with similar products and have made a ton of money of them. If I wanted to get one of these then I would most likely get an Ipad and plus peole who use this like people on the go like bankers and lawyers. probably already have a blackberry phone or laptop on them.
This product is basically an imitation of the ipad, but the ipad is much better considering it doesn't have nearly as many shortcomings. This product won't be successful because for the price, most people would just buy and ipad because they're of much better quality. -Michaela Voyer
From reading the review of the product I probably would not purchase this product. It did seem to have a lot of up sides, but after reading the customer review the PlayBook did not seem very impressive. Ipads can do a lot of different things, and if this tablet wants to be able to compete peope need to know what else it can do. I only can tell from the review that it can play music videos, and people can get on the internet with it. This review is not that good, because it does not really make the consumer want to buy the product.

I agree with marissa, most people do not use consumer reviews at our age because they just want the newest technology and assume it will be good. This usually changes over time, as I know my mom uses consumer reviews a lot before buying anything.
I have used Consumer Reports and so has my mom to see which device would best meet our needs. I think it is not necessary to have this but it would be helpful to have it since not many people actually use this.
I don't use consumer reviews before buying a product because its uneccesary, and i also agree they're for people with little experience. I'd rather buy products based on my own opinion rather then what everyone else thinks. For people who don't have much experience a review is helpful because it shows you how succesful the product was for other people and if its worth buying.
I think its hard to follow what customer reviews say because they all have biases. Depending on what/how they intend to use the device they may think that its good or bad when compared to something else.
I agree with Jonathan, I would not buy this product because its competition is too far ahead. The Playbook does not have many apps, while the Galaxy Tab has a lot more and the iPad is probably better built.
I think this is a good review of the Blackberry Playbook. All the great features it already has makes up for the e-mail client (or lack there of). I would definitely buy this!
I think that consumer reviews are very helpful. Even if a product has good features and stuff, it could malfunction at any time. If a product often malfunctions, then a consumer review can warn you about that. Also, it can also tell you whether a product's features are good and helpful or not.
I think that the Blackberry Playbook is useful, but not necessary.

I do not think this is a good review because, the consumer has not made a direct opinion. Is it something to invest in or not?
